With all the graduations the last couple of years this list is starting to look less and less impressive but  that's a good thing. Now it's time for these younger newer guys to make a name for themselves.

Yes, the list is certainly drying up of potential impact prospects, but it does seem deeper is interesting International players with upside.

Hopefully someone from the 2024 draft class will do something to stand out as well.

Kjerstad is kind of a forgotten guy because of the head injury, and that he graduated from the list, but he’s an impact guy that is a direct replacement for Santander.

Mullins is our next position player FA, so Elias went out and drafted three of the best defensive CF in the last two drafts.  Plus, we have Fabian as a potential Slater/Mckenna type.

Overall, since the offseason, the org has graduated Holliday, Kjerstad, Povich, and Cowser. Plus traded Stowers, Norby, Baumeister, Cook, Horvath, Etzel, and Moises Chace. That’s 11 guys right there.

Also, it doesn’t seem like a struggle to do a top 40, which is a good thing. Maybe 30-40 are all about the same, but then again the 11 guys from above aren’t here.

I like where we’re at. We had to trade Baumeister, Horvath, Etzel, Stowers, and Norby, because of the all the SP injuries. I’m sure we’d all be happier with a healthy Bradish, Grayson, Means, and those 5 traded prospects still here. That’s just the nature of “competing”.

There’s about 29 teams in MLB that would trade places with us for our top 2, versus what their top 2 is. Red Sox being the team that might choose to keep theirs.

Feels like there's a decent chance one of the young LATAM players will establish himself as a legitimate top 100 prospect, next season, no? Between Liranzo, Morfe, Almeyda, Sosa, Stiven Martínez, Estrada, De Leon etc., seems a decent bet to think we might get a legitimate big prospect out of one of them, no? (Don't know much about Elvin García, Emilio Sánchez, or Nestor Germán, or Cartaya...search of the forum didn't come up with much on them, so interested if you feel like telling us a bit about any of them!)

I'll have a lot more on the International players during the top 75 write ups.

There is definitely talent with upside in the group you mentioned and I'd add Cuevas and Arias to that list as well.

Mayo will retain his prospect eligibility over the winter because he won’t have the necessary 45 days on the active roster to make him lose that eligibility.

1st stint: 8/2-8/15

2nd stint: 9/1- 9/29

Meaning he will be eligible for prospect lists this winter, and eligible for ROY next season.

It's definitely a list one has to get use to getting familiar with compare to the names we were used to over the past few years. Thanks for the hard work you put into this.

McDermott coming back from the injury puts him into the conversation for the #3 spot behind Basallo and Mayo.

He’s pretty much a fully baked arm versus two questionable hit tool CFs. It’s up in there air, and everyone has their preferences, but #3 isn’t a slam dunk, or even just who should be higher ranked from those 3.

EBJ is an easy #3 for me.  He started checking boxes more frequently as the season wore on.

But agree that the fully baked factor is a booster for org value.

These "power rankings" are a fun way to track prospects throughout the year. They are not "official" prospect rankings that are completed at the end of the year after a full evaluations. To be eligible for the list, a player must play at least one game on an active roster. (Updated as of Sep 2nd)
