Appreciate the comment. I think everyone agrees that the season has played out enough and it’s time to do something.

The comment was made that in getting Burnes he was only treading water, given the pitching problems, and it was the best time to get another one. Waiting only increased the demand and the price.

Elias gambled on the SP holding up healthy-wise and lost, that's all. I know it's tough when you don't have bottomless pockets as some other teams do. But I still think he could have done better to have a plan B.
