July 22nd, 1996 - Eddie's Return

First of all, let's get the important stuff out of the way:  If you want to hear a great play by play broadcaster, here's Mel Proctor calling an Orioles game.  

Second, here's Eddie Murray's first game back in Baltimore and he cranks homer 492 at the 2:20 mark.  I think it's probably off the wall in the current configuration.

That brings up a lot of feelings.    Flanagan riding shotgun with Proctor just the small stuff - a beloved elder I grew up with and who also adored Eddie was lost earlier this year.

She was the person I attended this game with, and as the baseball gods had it the evening I was saying goodbye at hospice was the moment the Corbin Burnes trade occurred.
