Not being negative but that’s another defensive play this Orioles team is not making. They’ve made 2 great plays by Ramirez and one double play so far.

They have the best gloves of any team I have seen.

ESPN Gamecast said Mountcastle grounded into DP, then changed it to line out to second. Can anyone explain to those not watching?

He lined out to second.

It was close to being a trap but it was clearly in the fielder's glove.   Mounty knew he was out and wasn't running to 1st, and I think the SS was worried that maybe the ump had ruled it a trap so he threw to first just in case.   But that was never the case.  So the throw to first did nothing.

The announcers were too busy yakking with CC to go into much detail about what happened.

Thanks, that makes sense.

Cleveland is so solid. They don't give you anything, gotta beat them.

Yep, they are a really good team.  If we could split a 4 game series on the road against the team with the best record in MLB, I would take it and be pretty happy about it, especially having come into the series having won 4 of 5.

To me the only question is whether their starting pitching will still be good in October.   Will LIvely, Bibee, and Stone hold up to facing guys like Burnes, Cole, Gilbert, or Ragans?

But offensively, defensively, and bullpen they are one heck of a baseball team.
