I think I'd rather have the player more likely to produce in the lineup.

I do not know what Elias saw in Jimenez, but I think what he saw was another chance to burnish his own reputation by bringing a player closer to his potential.
So far it hasn’t happened.

They are both usually not playing. And they clearly don’t want to play Mayo in the field. I see what you’re saying with current roster construction, one of Rivera/Soto/Maton has to play 3B if Mayo DH’s. Rivera has looked the best I guess, but When Urias/Westy is back my plan would be better.

I’m aware but playing a lot less can also be an advantage. Much more rest, able to pick his spots better (especially with the injuries for the Os). He has a case. I don’t know that it’s better but wouldn’t be wrong to choose him.

Im still not a Mullins believer...even though I know hes been pretty good lately...I think he's a fading player...capable of an occasional hit, but not the player he was.
