When I saw the lineup I was not happy O’Hearn was starting over Kjerstad.  Glad I wasn’t making out the lineup card.

Gunnar has a long AB for a walk, and Westburg swings at first pitch on his hands and grounds out weakly. Really wish more of our guys showed patience at the plate.

In honor of watching the Twins, I got to looking at some Rod Carew stats.  Many would saw there is no  room in today's game for a guy like Carew - a light hitting singles/doubles guy with a high batting average.   Today's game doesn't care about batting average.   I think this is nuts.

Were you mad when Mountcastle doubled on the first pitch?

Carew had just 92 career HR but had a .328 career BA, .822 OPS, and 141 career OPS+.

Today's game would value his .393 career OBP.
