I wish I could say that this would help with the Yanks/Red Sox bias on the network, but I am sure someone else will just take his place.

Even though he wasn't a bad on air commentator, his bias never allowed me to appreciate his work.

Agreed. Even tho he clearly had a Boston bias the guy knew baseball and has an intense love of the game. Additionally, he has crazy knowledge of music too.

He grew up a die hard Red Sox fan, worked for the globe forever, can't hold that against him. There was/is nobody better.

I did like him except for his only reporting Red Sox news. He was real knowledgable. If he goes to mlb network then that makes the mlb that much better that baseball tonight. Baseball tonight still does have Kurkjian who is the best baseball analyst, but the mlb network is still better than baseball tonight and the best channel on TV.

I've never had a big problem with Gammons. He knows his stuff. And outside of never picking the O's to win the East in the mid-90s, me and Pete were a'ight.
