Bumps49
Perfect fit. RF. Bat him first. He has good D and can steal a base or two. Thoughts?
25 Nuggets
Only if he's cheap enough. I think he's a small step down from Markakis.

mdbdotcom
The Royals didn't start winning until they moved him out of the leadoff spot.

Can_of_corn
I could live with Aoki but he does not bring good defense.

Rene88
Hard to get excited about Aoki. If the Executive of the Year's plan is to dump fan favorite Kakes for this guy, he is an idiot. If that were to happen, I would lose it. I am with Wildcard, DD must have a trade up his sleeve. I understand the Nick move, but can't say it doesn't hurt. He and Jones are my favorite O's. Makes me sad.

And Aoki is not one either. Lough would be better. De Aza as well.

In fact, Steve Pearce and Chris Davis play better right field than that guy.

Forget the idea that a lead off hitter has to have real high OPB and have speed and have patience at the plate. A lead off hitter can be all sorts of players in today's game. It just can't be Adam Dunn that's all.
Roll Tide
And Aoki is not one either. Lough would be better. De Aza as well. Lough  I know you were trying to be funny. If the Orioles already had a leadoff hitter on the team Nick would've batted 2nd or 3rd in the lineup.
