  1. He was pitching against the LA Dodgers one of the best offensive team in baseball. A team that is in first place with 5 starters on the IL. Grayson pitched just fine.
  2. There is the pot calling the kettle black. I will never understand why someone gets a thrill out of being a message board troll.
  3. Brach is getting better as the game goes along. He was a little nervous at first.
  4. So far I like what I am hearing from Brach. Seemed a little nervous at first but has gotten better as the game has progressed.
  5. https://www.masnsports.com/blog/orioles-lineup-vs-marlins-1 Mountcastle and Mateo back starting. Cowser out again this time against a left hander. These next two games to me for Mountcastle and lesser Mateo could be big deciders if they can at least hit left handed pitchers. If they don't look good the pending decisions on who to send down or cut could fall on their performances. We will see.
  6. Dean Kremer has made 12 out of 18 starts giving up 3 or less ER's. I will take that ratio. On a good offensive team that will win you plenty of games.
  7. Maybe but he added that to the evaluation and didn't have to. He could have just answered the question on how his stint in the minors was going. They are playing 13 in a row. I think they may go with 6 starters sometime during this stretch.
  8. Eilias just said on the broadcast we might be seeing Grayson soon. I suspect he may be pitching against the Dodgers.
  9. Line up is Henderson ss Rutschman C Santander DH O'Hearn 1B Hays Lf Mullins CF Hicks RF Fraizer 2b Westburg 3b. No Cowser against a right handed pitcher so maybe he is going back down when they bring the pitcher up. Might not be today but we will see.
  10. The issue is John Angelos who operates the Baltimore Orioles and MASN, but doesn't own either, is not a billionaire and is probably not that wealthy. Peter Angelos still owns the Orioles and he is incapacitated. It also appears the biggest part of Peter Angelos wealth left is just the value of the Orioles. His law firm, where he earned his wealth, appears to be gone without him running it. So that leaves the Orioles with just the earnings they generate from the team. Where most sports owners like the Ravens owners and most else have wealth coming in from their other business. They are not going to spend money until Peter Angelos is no longer with us. I highly doubt John Angelos will be able to buy the Orioles from his father's estate and the Orioles will eventually have newer much more stable, at least financially, ownership. When that happens is just not known. I don't think owning a small market baseball team is a license to print money like owning any NFL team is.
  11. Per Rich Dubroff the second half rotation will start with Kremer, Gibson, and Bradish. Then I assume Wells will go Monday. Then Tuesday either Grayson or Irvin.
  12. I doubt they host the All Star game until the stadium upgrades are done.
  13. O'Hearn has options so I think he is a possibility. Then they try to make a trade with one of the others.
  14. Adley!!! What a show. Also by the way I think they keep showing his sister. She is an All-Star as well.
  15. I think it makes sense the way Camden Yards is configured now to look for left handed bats.
  16. Stanton and Donaldson may both be done. If they were smart they should try to flip them for prospects but they won't. I don't think they would bring much but the Yankees can afford to pay their contracts.
  17. The team is 54-35 so saying it was egregious to have not promoted anyone when they did is just hyperbolic. At some point you have to give the people running the Orioles the credit they deserve for the decisions they have made and when they have made them. None of us know if they would have had a better record if they promoted them earlier but the record they have is the second best in the AL and the third best in baseball. This two years after only winning 52 games in total.
  18. I don't know 1966-1983 went pretty well.
  19. The Orioles play 13 games in a row after the All Star Break. I say they call up Grayson and pitch 6 starters for that stretch. It is a away to hold some of the innings down.
  20. Remember the game thread on Tuesday with all the posts the season was over? The Orioles won't finish above 500? Coswer call up was too late. This team is resilient if anything.
  21. 270 or above which is certainly attainable. If he ends up with 27 plus HR and 270 or better average he has a great chance. Cal Ripken won it in 1982 with .264, 28 HR's 93 RBI's. Cal started hitting in the middle of May that year.
  22. I saw this and just placed a bet on Gunnar at +300.
  23. Mountcastle's rehab assignment ends during the All Star Break. They will have to option him to keep him in Norfolk.
