  1. I suspect he they are not planning to bring him up while they are in Baltimore these three games against the White Sox. They wouldn't have let him travel to Jacksonville. Maybe this weekend he can fly over to Houston.
  2. If Gunnar is not in Jacksonville tonight then we will know he is probably coming up. We will know soon enough.
  3. He played 2nd base again today. I do have a feeling he could be starting at 2nd for the Orioles on Tuesday. We will see.
  4. Just read on my Roto free agent transactions that Diaz is up as the 27th man for the game today. Since this isn't a double header I am not sure why there is a 27th man. 08.21... Yusniel Diaz will serve as the Orioles 27th man for Sunday's contest against the Red Sox in the Little League Classic. Spin: Diaz will join the Orioles for as they take on the Red Sox for the Little League Classic held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The 25-year-old outfielder is hitting .238/.327/.343 with four homers and seven steals across 196 plate appearances in Triple-A
  5. He also does have 20 steals as well.
  6. The play off the wall was pretty good as well.
  7. To quote Meatloaf, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
  8. Hindsight is 20/20. Lets see how his career goes from here before we make any final evaluations.
  9. A little more from Roch in the lineup article just now. Spenser Watkins is available in the bullpen and is expected to start Thursday’s makeup game against the Cubs at Camden Yards. The Orioles want to transition Hall into a relief role after today’s outing, which could begin with Norfolk. Hall is expected to be in the Orioles’ bullpen in September after rosters expand. To be decided is how they get him to that point. It’s going to be a process however it’s done, with shortened stints and less rest between appearances.
  10. Per Roch's article this morning it sounds like this is his only start and will go to the bullpen to control his innings. Hall is starting today, but no one is expected to leave the rotation to create space for him. I’m hearing that he’s likely to make a spot start against the Rays and then serve in a multi-inning relief role through the remainder of the season. This is how Hall can help the Orioles down the stretch, and it also enables them to control his innings. Don’t be surprised to see it happen. The Orioles have a specific count in mind for Hall and can’t waste any of them in Triple-A if they think he’s ready for the majors. They don’t want to shut him down early. This is how they can manipulate it. Hall will go back to starting in spring training. This is temporary.
  11. I am wondering if they may run out a 6 man rotation for the rest of the season.
  12. Yes he is hitting below 200 but he just does enough for the manager to write his name in this lineup. It is obvious Hyde loves his clubhouse presence. Again as long as they keep winning, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
  13. I have a feeling there isn't much of a law practice left of value to own. This is another bizarre twist in this saga. I would think any of the lawyers with loyal clients will bolt from this drama.
  14. Thanks, I thought that is what I remembered but wasn't sure.
  15. Can you still trade a player after trying to sneak him through waivers or is that no longer a thing?
  16. Where are all the experts here that said Adley was a bad pick at 1/1 after his first week in the majors? If I saw someone else write he was 24.5 years old and would never live up to his draft position I was going to scream!
  17. I think this regime deserves some benefit of the doubt regarding evaluating talent. They have done pretty well with the current crop of bullpen arms they have brought in this year. I don't think they did this trade just to do it. Their scouts must like these guys.
  18. You probably are replacing Mancini with Varva against right handed pitching and Diaz against left handers. As everyone has said lets let the trade deadline playout. If you don't trade anyone by tomorrow the next move may be to DFA Diaz and call up Stowers. You don't have to make that decision today.
  19. Trey, the best of luck to you. I will be rooting for the Astros in the playoffs once the Orioles are eliminated!
  20. Yes, I think the Yankees can keep him but they are going to have to be the highest bidder and Cohen is going to make that a HUGE price. There is no Yankee hometown discount.
  21. As I keep telling my Yankee friend he will be allowed to put his name on the back of his Mets jersey next season.
