  1. When Wells can show me his pitch to contact approach can work with ML balls is when I will consider him a prospect. His current game does not appear to translate well to the ML level.
  2. I just assume folks know basic facts and don't need to be told them. It is supposed to cut down on the clutter. AAA is using ML baseballs instead of minor league baseballs this season. It is causing a huge increase in offense, so much so that Harbor Park would not be considered a pitcher's park compared to the environments he has pitched at in the past. If he can get results with the ML balls I would start taking his prospect status seriously.
  3. Have you been following AAA at all this year?
  4. AAA, when he has to use the ML balls.
  5. I'll start buying it when he can do it with ML balls. As for Means, the stuff changed.
  6. Could just hire Hardy, not like he's busy.
  7. You need to add some Catch Me If You Can to your collection.
  8. I'm not sure about Mancini but if you want to expand it to the 40 man, Hays makes that play.
  9. You don't think Broxton could make that play?
  10. I trust the reports I have read more than my own eyes.
  11. I'm hopeful the 40 man is tight this year. We will really get an idea of where the players sit.
  12. Below average fielders make nice plays on a regular basis. Overall I would say he's below average in the outfield.
  13. The first time was for the second game of a double header. The second time was because a guy promoted ahead of him was injured. Sure, stranger things have happened in baseball but I don't like his long term chances.
  14. Satander isn't a prospect.
  15. I don't think he does. He's having a couple good games. He's also got a 737 OPS in juiced ball Norfolk. He isn't that good and it will show. Folks get all excited when a guy comes up and has a few good games.
  16. I don't believe that the Yankees have had historically great farms through the draft. They had that one really nice stretch that included Jeter and Co. Before and after that stretch, not so much that I recall. How many guys did they have on their OD roster that were their own draft picks? I know Greg Bird and Judge, anyone else of note? I will say that the Yankees and Dodgers have smoked the O's when it comes to International players.
  17. Rather than go buy money spent I'll go with "expert" analysis of the class. I was expecting somewhere in the 28-30 range. I'm now expecting a back end of the middle of the pack result, say 20-25. I'm not expecting a miracle.
  18. I think Elias was a solid hire. Anything else we will have to see.
