Yes the guy who is leading the league in RBI despite having terrible luck on his batted balls has been pretty bad. Yep, he sure was bad today when his teammate's bad play cost him a hit.

What the version when he was with the Pirates? Bonds had 43 IBB at age 42 while only playing in 126 games. Even forgoing the insane madness that was 2004 season Bonds had nine seasons with 30 or more IBB. I don't think Adley is going to get 30 IBB.

I think a lot of folks in the industry are familiar with The Book. I'd be shocked to hear that any current GM hasn't read it. I would fully expect any manager to at the very least have easy access to the charts on run expectancy (updated I'm sure). It's been around for a while and it's a pretty important work in the field. It's also not a bad read.
