Career .396 OBP and .542 SLG against lefties. Appears to be a textbook DH waiting for some team to take a chance on him.

There's pretty much zero harm in seeing whether the guy can still hit. Bring him to spring training and let him play at Norfolk or even Bowie for a while. It would cost virtually nothing.

I was being serious. He's another possible platoon partner for Betemit. And if he can't cut it, we haven't lost anything.

I really don't get the "Hamilton or NUTHIN" crowd.
