Davis had a walk on his last 3-2 pitch.

He didn't take it.

Schoop had a walk on first 3-2 pitch.

He didn't take it.

Buck is putting too much pressure on Schoop batting him behind Davis. He needs to bat 8th or 9th until he can be trusted not to come up that small in situations like that 1st inning.

That's what happens when you follow your all or nothing 5th batter with an inpatient young hitter. People say we're just as good as last year without Cruz, but imagine what we would be WITH Cruz. I'd say we'd probably be in 1st place and still have Davies in our system.

That was the 3-1 pitch. The rest all seemed like strikes, or at least pitches you have to swing at.
