Jason Garcia Start Today

4 out of his last 5 starts have been pretty good. We have a slew of relievers in AA/AAA. This isn't hurting his development or value at all. Now harm in taking a power arm and trying to make him into a SP.

The way I see it is that he's getting the development time that he missed out on last year when we hid him in our BP as a rule 5 guy.

What did he look like to you yesterday?

We were first row directly behind home plate actually. Great performance, too bad it was wasted. Some balls were still hit hard by Akron but caught.

I was going to text you and ask you if you had any "inside info" on what maybe changed?

Umpire was a strike caller.

Nice to see good results, but wish there were more Ks considering his best pitch is that high 90s heater.

Fan gun was not on last night. My eye test would have him in the low 90's - based purely on having seen a lot of baseball this year. :-)

Kept the ball down, and got some ground balls. A few loud outs went to the warning track.
