Would anyone be ok with this signing?

Would you want Parra now for 3/$27 if you could?

I really thought DD had pulled the off season together with signing a pitcher and Fowler for RF and a lead off batter and then back to square one. This team waits so long to pursue a player and if it doesn't work your out of luck.

I believe AJ again is left alone in the OF. He seemed to be happy with a everyday RF. It's to bad this has happened.Hope DD can fill the hole.

IMO the process is far to slow when they agree to terms and when the player actually signs the contract. It give other teams time to swoop in for the steal and thats what I believe happened here. I believe Kim will be a productive player and I think they will be looking to trade for another OF. If Rickard can prove he belongs and can handle the bat I dont think that would be that bad.

Basically talking a trade with Colorado. Parra would have to OK the deal. We would have to give up a player.

If it is a straight up deal like maybe Chaz Roe and they EAT about $15 Million of the deal ($5 Million per year) we could consider it.

No way, Jose. Thanks for playing.

If you're trying to contend you cannot afford to have a Rule 5 pick as an everyday player. Period.

2014 was the only year our Rule 5 didn't stick and look what happened.

I can't remember our rule 5 from that year. Lombardozzi was our pick in 2013, and last year was Chris Parmalee. What about our guy from 2012, oh wait, he's still here. 807c6ce29b464b4aa27e8f08ea3eb09d.jpg

Lombardozzi and Parmalee were never our rule 5s. McFarland and Almanzar and Garcia were.

If Jackson rebounds to the .345 OBP he put up in his first 4 1/2 years in Detroit (before being traded to Seattle) would he still "suck?"

Yes but how likely is that? Bruce at very least injured his knee and it could be that he tweaked it last year mid season. That would explain the deep decline. Of the two I think Bruce is more likely to rebound. I really do not like either and would be looking into Ethier or trying to find a team looking to trade and outfielder. I dont like the Markakis idea either but I would be willing on a dump if Atlanta at some of the fee.
