I like Andy MacPhail's phrase for it: "A snapshot in time."
He said that regarding system rankings but it of course applies to individual prospects as well.
It would devolve into subjective opinion, but I still contend Holliday should be considered the most "talented" as his absolute upside at SS is hightest in the system. IMO.
Let’s revisit this for the millionth time.
Adley was hurt to start the season. Whatcha gonna do? I’m glad he was so good that he finished 2nd in the ROY, but it’s not like there was some plot to keep him off the OD roster.
GRod and Hall are different cases, to be judged on their own merits. I don’t consider either of their cases to start the year in the majors to be clear. They’re judgment calls, to be considered with other players.
Not much. Some of our projected starters are really struggling. Henderson .714, Mateo .685, Mullins .638, Urias .582, Frazier .564. Santander .496. That's 6 of our projected starters right there hitting average to very poorly. Only starters hitting as far has been Mountcastle, Hays and AR, all over 1.000 OPS. Other guys hitting well are going to AAA or bench roles.
