ESPN 2016 Preseason Power Rankings: Orioles @ #23

I can understand preseason rankings being a subject of conversation.

But we are in the middle of the season. We have standings. Those are your rankings. Any list ESPN or anyone else compiles is beyond irrelevant. I can't believe people actually get worked up over this.

Hey, we swept 2 of the teams ahead of us in the last couple of weeks. :thumbsup1:

The Rangers won one game against us, but I get what you are saying (5 out of 6 games from 2 of the teams ahead of us in the standings.)

OK, we know that ESPN has gotten plenty of criticism from the OH (and plenty elsewhere as well, I'm sure.)

But this has to be the article of all articles in terms of questionable credibility ...... asserting that Tebow could be "The Next Michael Jordan."

It's an Insider article, so only first 10 paragraphs are available for all to see ........ but I believe that the title alone will give you plenty to think about.

Is Tim Tebow the Next Michael Jordan? The Similarities are There

(By Jim Bowden, ESPN Senior Writer)

The end of Roch's lineup post mentions Tebow. Working out in AZ with former O's catcher Chad Moeller.

If Tebow winds up being a lousy baseball player at the AA or the Advanced-A level, he will indeed have that in common with Michael Jordan.

But there is one other portion of the equation that is missing from Tebow's resume that would be needed in order to make him comparable to Michael Jordan ...... unless Jim Bowden is making the argument that Tebow was to the NFL what Michael Jordan was to the NBA.

Guess they arent considering SF's record since the AS break and the fact that we took 2 of 3 in their stadium. I prefer not being first and under appreciated, but put some thought into it.

Yeah, when it's August 16 and you have the worst record in all of baseball since the All Star Break, which is a full month, you need to drop a bit more.
