I really hope so. The pitchers that initiate these bench clearing brawls really should get suspended 15-20 games. Missing one start or just getting pushed back a game is nothing.

Completely agree with this... They need to use a 5X multiplier when suspending starting pitchers.

I had this same idea, but 4 of a pitcher's 32-ish starts per year is totally unbalanced from 4 of a position player's 162 games.

Missing 2 starts is a fair penalty in terms of missing time. Even that leans in favor of the pos player in that scenario.

Unrelated, Jimmy Rollins was DFAd today. Pretty sure I'd rather have him than Janish on our club so long as he can still play SS pretty well, which I don't know.

Manny has the opportunity to impact very game he plays with both his bat and his glove. A SP only impacts one game in 5. Manny could be the difference in 4 W and Ventura in one.
