It's official, according to Camden Chat. http://www.camdenchat.com/2016/6/14/11938356/orioles-news-ubaldo-jimenez-bullpen

After Sunday’s disastrous outing against the Blue Jays, there was a big question mark next to Ubaldo Jimenez. What would be his role going forward? Would the Orioles take the more extreme step of releasing him from the team?

Before Tuesday’s game against the Red Sox, manager Buck Showalter gave an answer to that speculation, or at least the answer that’s going for now. Jimenez is out of the O’s rotation and will be available from the Orioles bullpen beginning on Wednesday.A

I guess it's one last ditch effort to save something of a contribution. Who knows, maybe this is the "come to hey-zeus" lightning bolt of a moment he needs to turn a negative into a positive for both him and the O's. My emotional side said "enough is enough, eat the contract", but my dispassionate side says this is the best move for a good teammate and buys a bit more time. I haven't consulted my 3rd side. None of the options were particularly good.

But he's getting PAID thanks to DD.

So? He's getting paid. If he works coming out of the BP then that's good. IMO. I

don't have a bias against Ubaldo. As long as a player wears the Orange and

black I support him. Even when he is pitching badly.
