Wouldn't it be nice to have a good minor league system?

So that we could trade prospects and get players that will help us to win and make the playoffs.

Oh, wait... we already win and get to the playoffs.  Nevermind.

It isn't obvious to me.  Red Sox gave up two very nice pieces for Sale.

I'd rather have Moncada than Sale straight up.

You'd rather have a guy who has played eight games in the Major Leagues than one of the best pitchers in baseball? I'll take the sure thing.

They'll only be paying Sale $38 million over three years. That's very cap-friendly.

Yeah but the deal they did earlier was reported they wanted to stay under it unless they can move someone they will be over it now.

For  who may be wondering, Sale has 5 career starts v. the Orioles.  He is 2-2 with 10 runs in 29 innings.  He also has 5 career relief appearances v. the Orioles.

He also has 2 seasons WAR over 5+ and 1 season over 4 WAR, and 2.9 last season and oh year, 6 complete games last season.
