So according to MLBTR The Astros and 5 other teams are in on Tigers LHP Wilson. The price is sky high and the 5 losers could focus on Britton. So there is still hope that a solid deal could get done.

I think so too. I think once Wilson, Darvish, and Gray are moved the losers focus on Britton and Brach

I think their preference the whole time was to reload for 2018.  No one wants to to start a rebuild in your last year under contract.
