Boo... was holding out hope the Nats would sign but I think the fact it costs so much (The Phillies already gave up their pick so this was MUCH less of a cost for them prospect wise) AND the fact the Nats are so close to the luxury tax...

If they were interested early in the offseason, you'd have to imagine that interest is higher now, I mean it makes to much sense. The piece that really makes them a contender now, they have the money, they have the pieces. The Orioles haven't committed to 2018.

Now would the Orioles actually move him, I dunno.

The Phillies wanted a window to negotiate an extension. Unless that's changed, I don't see anything happening.
