I don’t like either but I think Bordick is marginally better. He has been more realistic this season I think. Not a top choice....bring in Big Ben Full time!

Only the Orioles can score 8 runs and fail to reach half of what the other teams run total is.

If he dropped that thing where he goes "...and now it's 17 to EIIIIGHT" with some inflection in his voice like "things are getting interesting!!!" I would have thrown the remote at the tv @Hank Scorpiostyle.

That said, I actually think he's pretty good on the radio as a pbp guy.

Jim, Texas had 10 runs by the second inning.  The O's had 8 for the entire game, mostly in garbage time.
Postgame, Jimmyville was talking to Buck about Villar's first hit and trying to extract any positive possible.     Normally, you'd have a somber (as opposed to sober) Gary Thorne asking Buck "What happened?"

Seriously though, Hunter may be a homer, but I don't dislike him as much as some on here do.  I grew up without cable and had Jim and Fred every night to look forward to.  I like listening to him, notwithstanding the obvious homerism.

While the Orioles are making changes in the direction of the team, an upgrade from Hunter next season would be welcome. 

This team is likely to lose a lot of games over the next couple of years. Apart from Hunter's other weaknesses in calling the game, hearing how good the Orioles look in doing that ("Rookie sensation DJ Stewart had three hits, but the Orioles went down to defeat again, 9-1, after trailing by only four runs until the seventh inning") is going to get even more tiresome.

You should sample some other team's announcers before you make this wish.  All in all I'll take the Orioles announcers any day of the week.

I like Bordick.  He goes into the deeper ins and outs of the game.  That is great for youngsters trying to learn about the game.
