I don't know honestly. I wouldn't be too upset if he was DFA'd since I think he's replaceable, but Elias and company seem to like him so I'll assume they know something that I don't at this stage. Right now, with Jackson's ability to play outfield, I'm ok with Alberto being the main backup at SS and maybe even 3B.

With  Cobb going on the IL it looks like there is room for Alberto.  Just have to wait on the waiver claims.
