Here's where I am too. What was the problem that they fixed? I liked the idea of the trade deadline at the end of July then you can trade up to August 31st if you can get a guy through waivers. There was some gamesmanship there and allows a team to make a trade of desperation which could help a non contending team get better in the future quicker.

At least in September, there's callups even if it won't be 40. Teams still get, what was it, two callups? You can't plan for unexpected injuries before they happen. Pretty sure the Indians are in, so it's definitely not about being in or out here at all.

Just have 53 man rosters. 11 men on offense, 11 on defense, the rest we’ll just call “special teams” and will consist of backups and specialists. That way if you were to lose your star player, you could still make the World Series.
