Chris Tillman still leads in the summation of absolute values of seasonal WARs.

Davis missed by a single homer matching Eddie's record for Oriole homers in a decade.

Adam Jones led the team with 17 triples this decade.  The old AA-NL Orioles had a dozen players hit at least that many in a single season.

Prior to 2010 the Oriole record for strikeouts by a batter in their entire Oriole career was 1305, by Cal.  Chris Davis struck out 1533 times this decade.

And Dylan Bundy, at current pace of 166 K/year, will pass Jim Palmer's career total midway through the 2030 season.

A nice reminder that Tillman was pretty good for awhile. I know it ended in an absolute trash fire, but. He was aight.

I was surprised how many decade bests occurred in 2019: runs (Villar 111), triples (Villar 5 - tied), stolen bases (Villar 40), BA (Alberto .305), pitcher WAR (Means 4.5 - tied).    Villar also played 162 games, tied with three others for best.

By my count (which is probably off by a trivial amount), 256 players wore the Black and Orange at some point during the decade: 127 position players and 129 pitchers.    The highest number in a single season was 58, in 2019.    That included the highest number of pitchers, 34, excluding the four position players who also took the mound last season.    The largest number of position players was 28, in 2018.   The lowest in a single season was 44, and unsurprisingly, that was in 2014.    The O’s only used 20 pitchers that year, the low for the decade, and only 7 pitchers started a game (including TJ McFarland, who made one spot start).     The fewest position players used was 21, in 2016.

The last two seasons really slammed the W-L %, but overall, it was a pretty damn fun decade to be an O's fan.  2012-2016 were a lot of fun, even with the disappointment of falling short of a WS title.  I'll always remember this era fondly, even though the end has been rough.  Hoping for even better things with this next era under Mike Elias.

An up and down decade.  Mostly down but there were some bright spots, for sure.
