Came into my job.  We chatted briefly and I got an autograph.

Curses a fair amount.  :D

Also apparently not a fan of Mike Elias not hiring him.  Too funny.

Cool experience.

Good friend of mine was in a golf tourney with him last year..played in his 4some.

He said he cussed the whole round and was a pretty funny guy.

Literally never met a guy who curses more and I spent 20 years in the Army! :D

Cool dude though. I've enjoyed my conversations with him back in the day.

Cool! I used to play baseball against his son in  little league and then also in HS. Son was a good player, I think he went on to play college ball somewhere.

You do know his son Steven played in the Orioles system for a few years, right?

Steve Bumbry played at Virginia Tech.   I saw him a few times, including once when VT was playing at Maryland at College Park.   Al was sitting a few rows away with a friend watching his son play.   I didn't bother him.

And I think he wound up in the Orioles organization for a little while.

I met Al Bumbry a long time ago when I was a kid. He didn't curse and now I'm disappointed.

Same here.  He signed my first glove.  Met him and the Orioles Bird while he was in a cast for his broken leg (Bumbry, not the Bird).  I was a little kid and was in awe.

Would love to hear him in the booth!  Especially now! :)

Met him and got an autograph at a YMCA / little league event when I was a kid.  He was my favorite Oriole, so it was very exciting.

He's on Wall To Wall baseball with Tom Davis fairly often. Still an Oriole thru and thru.

    • The outfield might be slick from all the rain. I think that can influence lineup decisions.
    • @Bahama O's Fanor a free trial of any streaming platform. YouTube TV, Directtv, etc.
    • I’ve been rending my garments over Adley and his struggles for months now. But I will say that it seems like a bit of an odd time to come together as a group on the notion of benching him — just as he’s been starting to show some signs of being Adley again.  Over the last week of the season, Adley had a 50% hard hit rate and an average EV of 89.9 MPH. Those numbers absolutely dwarf what he was doing for months, when he was sitting at more like a 26% HH rate and an 85 MPH EV. Anecdotally, I can’t even remember the last time we saw Adley drive a ball into the left-center gap like he did multiple times against MIN. That’s Adley at his very best, and it was a sight for sore eyes.  I’m not sold that he’s 100% back, and I would still stick with McCann catching Burnes tomorrow (especially since using Adley as the DH is viable with a LHP starter in Ragans). But I sincerely doubt we can run the table without at least a few stretches of Adley being Adley — so I think this recent spurt is probably enough to warrant sending him out there every day still, in hopes that he really is getting it locked back in.
    • Apparently, if you just waited to buy tickets, you could just basically go for free. Well done orioles.
    • Well, they likely would not have drafted an overslot SS with the second round pick if they had taken another HS SS first overall, so would you rather have Henderson and Rutschman or just Witt?
    • It’s my understanding that nationally televised games are usually blacked out. Consider a free trial subscription of Fubo if they are still offering it.
    • The Orioles starters absolutely have to do better against the Royals. You can't ask this bullpen to pitch most of the game and expect to win. Right now I probably trust Coulombe the most and Soto (which I never would have guessed a couple weeks back). Perez has been really shaky recently to the point I'm wondering is he nursing a tired arm or minor injuey. Cano hasn't been good as well and O's really need him to get back into a groove. And Akin is usually trustworthy, but only starting the inning clean.
