Mets vs. Orioles 9/2 4PM

I left Glens Falls NY a couple minutes before 1, it usually takes 6.5 to 7 hours (or 8 or 9+ with bad east coast traffic),.

I never expected to be home in time to catch the end of the game on TV.

I think the only time I've ever made the trip this quickly was on a Christmas Day.

I like the Mets radio guys.   They were pretty knowledgable about the Orioles.  Once i got close enough to switch to 105.7, I was not particularly impressed with Melanie Newman.   Technically sound but kind of sleep inducing.    First time I'd listened to her much.

I once ran a 16-mile training run through the woods and trails from Lake George to Glens Falls, and then back again.

I bought a cold Gatorade at a store in Glens Falls at the halfway-mark (8 Miles) before heading back to Lake George.

I once road my bike from GF to LG and back.   Something to do on the morning of my sister's wedding in Glens Falls back in '93 or so.

A bit easier than running.

Maybe we passed each other.

Tampa Bay has hit a couple of 2-run home runs, have a runner on 2nd base, and there is still nobody out in the top of the 1st inning against the Yankees ...... you know, for all you Rays fans here on the OH.

Everyone in the East is a Rays fan when the Rays are playing the Yankees.

We weren’t hopelessly behind until he came in.

We were down 7-2 with men on 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs in the top of the 8th.

Between 1957 and 2019 there were 282 games with that exact situation (5 run lead for the visitor, 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs in the top of the 8th).   The visitor won 281 of those 282 games.

That situation is over a 99% win expectancy.   That is EXACTLY the situation you bring in your worst reliever.
