Bill Ripken looks so young. Well he was, only 23.  He didn't help the cause that year 1988 2 HR .207 average.  Kind of reminds me of of some of the present day Orioles hitters.

Not really. It's very breakable. The record is 26.

Now losing 21 in a row to start the season is freakish. That was probably a once in a lifetime event

I said it was really hard, not unbreakable. A losing streak is a losing streak, the '88 Orioles just happened to have a really bad one and it just happened to be at the beginning of the year. And no, no one is repeat that feat.
