This really underscores how freakishly bad the Orioles have been the last 14 games. Collective bullpen meltdown, an absolute refusal to hit with RISP, and the usual poor starting pitching. 

It's really hard to lose 14 in a row.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. More like nightmare lane.  I hope the writer is right, that losing streak won't happen again.  

Bill Ripken looks so young. Well he was, only 23.  He didn't help the cause that year 1988 2 HR .207 average.  Kind of reminds me of of some of the present day Orioles hitters.

Not really. It's very breakable. The record is 26.

Now losing 21 in a row to start the season is freakish. That was probably a once in a lifetime event

I said it was really hard, not unbreakable. A losing streak is a losing streak, the '88 Orioles just happened to have a really bad one and it just happened to be at the beginning of the year. And no, no one is repeat that feat.
