So, then my question is; has he worked as a starter in the minor leagues? Seems like a lot of pitches to have as solely a guy in relief. Has he ever been used as a starter and what were the results? Any possibility he could work into a back end of the rotation guy?

Somebody needs to talk to Gutierrez about pitching. That arm is so strong and accurate.

Command and simple control has been issue most of his career. Makes me wonder if they took all but 2 or maybe 3 pitches away from him and let him focus on them, how good could he be?
