Extremely impressive outing from Bradish tonight.   I think what impressed me most was when he started the 6th by allowing a long double and an inside the park homer, and rather than panicking he struck out the side.   To me, he answered any questions about his makeup tonight.

I’d like to add the fact that he didn’t walk anyone.

So we drafted Bundy and were supposed to get a RHP with an upper 90's fastball, a knee buckling curve, and a great cutter. He gets hurt and comes back as a good pitcher at times but not the guy we originally thought we were getting. We trade him for an unheralded RHP who I watched tonight and:

1. Threw a fastball that touched 98 and was still at 95 in the 7th inning.

2. Made hitters, including Nolen Arrenado look foolish, on a sharp curve.

3. Struck out the next 3 batters after the unsettling Bader inside the parker.

4. Maintained his stuff throughout the game

It took awhile, but that pick might finally be paying off

Just saw a tweet that Strasburg is the only other pitcher in MLB history to have an 11+K/0BB game in one of his first three career games.

I believe you but that's hard to believe!

5. Consistently dropped that 12-6 curve in for strike one, all night.

Impressive, but remember that for most of baseball history 11 Ks was two or three times the average.  Today it's just 30% higher than a typical game.

Example, in 1940 there were 11 starts in the majors all year with 11+ Ks, five of them by Bob Feller.  And that in an era where starters would routinely go 7, 8, 9+ innings.  There have been 17 such starts in just over a month of this year, in a context where the average starter barely goes five.
