I believe this is supposed to be resolved by the end of the week. Doesn't mean its going to...

We're looking into the pitching next. I think we're going to continue to rebuild, but not forfeit this season by any means.

Along with the potential Tex thing ending this week (hopefully), I think the pitching will last longer. Like you said, it doesn't have to, but I think it is the perfect time for us and Tex, along with the right amount of time to sign the FA pitchers we have been looking at.

Honestly, I am hoping for this week, but...if he wants to wait till then to ink the orange and black, well then Tex, that is a wonderful day.

I'm hoping for the middle of the week. Cause then if he doesn't come then it gives us time to deal with the decision. Instead of finding out on Christmas.

Previously in this thread, I made a prediction of Wed. or Thurs. Those are the days I am still holding out for. And, while I think things might stop for Tex, I am hoping that AM is multitasking with pitching and another possible trade.

True. If PA is dealing exclusively with Tex ,then I could see them multitasking. But if I were them I would want them to announce the signing as soon as possible so it could influence more free agents to sign here.

This is exactly what they should be doing and what I think they are doing.

I think that AM had a great talk with Tex during the meetings and there is no doubt that Tex emphasized what he wouldn't mind seeing AM do.

When PGA stepped in, this allowed for AM to continue the course of the offseason and I think it went in favor of Tex.

A mid-week signing would definitely allow for FA starting pitchers to feel like we are making an improvement. Nothing to shrug their shoulders at from our end.

I'm not an insider and never claimed to be, but I wanted to pass along some fun info.

My girlfriend works for the State Police, and she just told me a neat story. She came in the room and asked me, that guy the Orioles are trying to sign, I said Mark Teixeira, and she said yeah. I said what about him? She told me one of the Troopers from her barick met him yesterday. I said Where? She said at the Ravens game. I asked her how? She said that he's friends with some of the Baltimore City cops that were escorting him. So, that does in fact confirm he WAS there.

Now to the juicy part. He asked Tex, are you gonna be an Oriole next year. He said Tex just laughed, and said I can't talk about it right now, but you'll know soon enough.

That's not to say he's gonna be an Oriole, but she said the Trooper that told her said his impression was that Tex will be an Oriole.

You don't have to believe it, but these are coming from Police Officers, and my girlfriend wouldn't do that to, atleast I hope not.
