All of a sudden the home plate umpire is an issue. Missed that strike at the top of the zone to Brown. Called McKenna out looking on that pitch out of the zone.

Who was the announcer--not Palmer--who started the inning with the description of McKenna? Gruffier voice than Garceau. (I just started my MLB.com sub.)

Sometimes wish the announcers would pay more attention to the game. That third pitch by Kremer was a strike and the ump called it a ball, but Palmer was too busy talking about something else to notice anything.

Palmer said it was a strike though it may have looked low to McKenna. I think it was outside.

I said the same when he was announced in the pen. Hyde is really walking a tight rope with this game. Seems like he's in Spring training.

Doesn't seem to have been fazed by last inning. Regained his sharpness two runs too late.

Was Sears in the Montas trade?  He shut the O's down earlier this year.

Palmer is old and rambles and mutters a lot now.  Much has he diminished in the last four or five years.  I started to really notice last year a lot.   Sadly now I dont find his game calling that quality now.   We will use him till he quits or dies but his better days are way back in the mirror.
