Are the Red Sox Better Than the Orioles (on Paper)?

Now that Mondesi has followed Taylor out of Kansas City, Clubs with unfinished business (White Sox 2B) are looking to Picollo's Royals to see how far he'll cut before Opening Day.

I wonder if Picollo told Jordan Lyles all this stuff during recruitment.     I thought Brad Keller might have been a non-tender earlier this winter.     Scott Barlow has been a decent Closer the last couple years, now with Aroldis Chapman as teammate.

After this trade and the Duvall signing, I think they might be.

2023 Projected Lineup

1. M. Yoshida (OF)
2. E. Hernandez (2B)
3. . R. Devers (3B)
4. J. Turner (DH)
5. . A. Verdugo (OF)
6. . T. Casas (1B)
7. A. DuVall (OF)
8, A. Mondesi (SS)
9. R. McGuire (C)

SPs - 1. Sale, 2. Kluber, 3. Pivetta, 4. Whitlock, 5. Paxton
RPs - Jansen, C. Martin, Schreiber, Barnes, Houck, etc.

Means is likely to throw more IP than Sale in 2023 but most wouldn't include him in this debate because he won’t be ready on OD.

I think we have a superior bullpen, defense, and overall team speed/athleticism. I like our rotation and lineup alot more that theirs.

Arguing about who the better .220 hitter is for pages and pages is peak OH.

Amen to this.!! And when someone has to qualify every argument with, "when healthy", that says a lot.

If the dude can't stay on the field, it really doesn't matter that he's good "when healthy."

Just walk devers every time. Don’t let him beat you and you beat the Red Sox.
