3/3 - Allowed a run on three hits striking out 2.
3/8 - Tossed 3 shutout IP, allowing 2 H and striking out 2. (1.80)

Cole Irvin (LHP)
3/1 - Allowed just a hit and walk in two scoreless innings in his debut.
3/6 - Working on 4 days rest, allowed a run on a two-out RBI double in the 3rd inning.

Kyle Bradish (RHP)
2/28 - Tossed two hitless innings striking out two.
3/5 - Allowed a HR, a hit, and walk and two K's in 3 IP.
3/10 - Struck out 8, and allowed one run on two hits and walk over 4 IP.

Dean Kremer (RHP)
2/26 - Allowed a HR and and a BB in his 2 inning start. 
3/3 - Tossed three scoreless innings, striking out three and allowing just one hit.
3/7 - Left for the Israel WBC team. (1.80 in 5 IP)

Bubble

Tyler Wells (RHP) 
2/20 - Came into camp 20 pounds lighter than the year before in order to try and stay healthy and strong throughout the season.
3/4 - Allowed three runs on five hits including a home run. 
3/9 - Allowed a run in in 2.2 IP taking 55 pitches.. Struck out 5 though. (7.71)
3/14 - Two solid innings was followed by a disasterous 3rd inning giving up five ER while getting just one out. (11.57)

DL Hall (LHP)
2/18 - Showed up to camp with right lower lumbar discomfort (injury)
3/2 - Had his second bullpen today and experienced no back discomfort. Feels he will be ready for OD.

Grayson Rodriguez (RHP)
3/2 - Needed just 21 pitches to get through two hitless IPs, walking one and striking out one. Averaged 97.9 MPH on his fastball and touched 98.9.
3/7 - Gott hit pretty hard and had to leave with te bases loaded in his third inning of work. ended up allowing just one ER though but on 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4. (1.93)

Austin Voth (RHP)
3/1 - Allowed a run on three hits in his 2 IP in his debut.
3/6 - With the wind blowing out, got knocked around for three home runs and four runs overall in his second inning of work. Came back out for a hitless 3rd inning of work. (9.00 ERA)

Long Shots
Spenser Watkins (RHP)
3/2 - Two hitless innings with two Ks in his debut.
3/7 - Allowed one run on five hits and one K. (1.80)

Bruce Zimmermann (LHP)
2/27 - Got the starts allowing two ER in two IP on three hits, including a home run. Struck out one.
3/4 - Allowed just one hit in three scoreless IP, striking out 3.
3/9 - Allowed two ER in 3 IP. Struck out 3 but walked two and allowed a HR. (4.50)

Cuts
Cade Povich (LHP)
2/26 - Pitched the 7th and 8th inning in his spring debut, striking out three and allowing just one hit. Averaged 93.9 MPH on his  sinking fastball topping out at 94.6 MPH. Threw five pitches 4-seamer, sinker, slider, curveball and change.
3/4 - Tossed two shutout IP, struck out one.
3/10 - Allowed a run on 3 walks and hit in two innings of work. Struck out 3. Was reassigned. (1.50)

Chris Vallimont (RHP)
2/25 - Allowed a run in two IP.
3/10 - Made just the one spring appearance before being reassigned to minor league camp. (4.50)

Ryan Watson (RHP)
3/10 - Allowed two runs in his only inning of work before being reassigned to minor league camp. (18.00)

Drew Rom (LHP)
2/25 - Started, striking out two in two solid innings while allowing one run.
3/9 - Optioned to AAA.

Noah Denoyer (RHP)
2/27 - Pitched the 6th and 7th inning allowing a hot and walk in two scoreless innings.
3/10 - Optioned to minor league camp.

Relievers
Will Make Team barring injury

Keegan Akin (LHP)
3/1 - Allowed a BB and a hit while getting a K in 1 IP.
3/8 - Two more shutout innings and has yet to allow a run this spring. (0.00)

Félix Bautista (RHP) 
2/18 - Still rehabbing offseason knee surgery and is also on a shoulder strengthening program. Could be questionable to start season (injury)
2/19 - Bautista believes he will be ready for opening day and completed a throwing session. The Orioles remain cautiously optimistic but say it will depend on whether he can get enough innings in this spring to be ready.
3/5 - Bautista threw a bullpen session on March 4 and continues to be "right on track with everything," per manager Brandon Hyde.
3/6 - On the MASN broadcast today, Mike Elias said he's hopeful they can still get him stretched out enough to make the OD roster.
3/14 - Made his spring debut throwing 99 MPH and allowing no runs.

Mychal Givens (RHP)
3/6 - Made his debut, hitting a batter, committing two balks, but striking out two.
3/10 - Allowed a hit and struck out 2 in a perfect inning of work. (0.00)

Cionel Pérez (LHP)
3/2 - Allowed two hits but got out of the inning with no ER. Struck out one.
3/4 - Allowed a hit and BB, w/1 K in 1 IP.
3/8 - Allowed a one on 2 hits and a walk. (3.00)

Bryan Baker (RHP)
2/28 -  Allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks in one inning of work.
3/4 - Tossed one shutout IP.
3/6 - Allowed two run on three hits and a walk before getting pulled due to pitch count after retiring just two batters. (16.88)
3/10 - Allowed a game tying home run in the 5th inning. (14.73)

Bubble
Joey Krehbiel (RHP)
2/27 -  Not a great debut allowing three runs on two home runs while pitching in the 3rd inning.
3/2 -  Could not get out of his inning once again, allowing five runs on five hits, including two homers (one from former Orioles Tyler Nevin) while getting just two outs. Averaged just 92.2 mph on his fastball, down 2.2 MPH from last year. 
3/9 - Got a much needed good inning under his belt in the 9th, striking out two but notably against minor leaguers. (27.00)

Andrew Politi (RHP)
2/27 - Made his debut pitching in the 5th inning, tossing a hitless frame with one K. 
3/2 - Another scoreless inning allowing just one hit while striking out two. Got 3 WHIFFS on five swings against his high spin rate cutter. Threw mostly cutters and curveballs but did throw five fastballs that averaged 93.4 MPH and touched 94.4.
3/5 - Tossed another scoreless frame with two more Ks.
3/9 -  Had one of those nightmare innings, allowing four ER on 3 hits, including 2 HR, and walk while recording just two outs. (9.82)

Nick Vespi (LHP)
2/18 - Will work slowly in beginning as he rehabs offseason sports hernia. Could still be candidate for bullpen.
3/3 - Vespi threw all of his pitches during a 35-pitch bullpen session on March 3. The left-hander is planning for one or two live batting practice sessions during the week of March 6. If all goes well, he'll then be ready to get into Grapefruit League games. The 27-year-old remains optimistic he'll be ready to pitch by Opening Day.
3/9 - Reportedly close to pitching in a live game.
3/13 - Made is spring debut

Mike Baumann (RHP)
2/28 - Allowed one run on a solo homerun in two innings of work. Struck out three and walked one.
3/5 - Being stretched out as a starter, tossed three innings, allowing a run on two hits and two walks, striking out the side in one inning after loading them up with no outs.
3/11 -  Disaster of an outing saw him allow six ER on four hits (2 HR) and two walks in just 2 IP. (10.29)

Long Shots
Yennier Cano (RHP)
2/26 - Struck out two in a perfect 4th inning of work. Averaged 96.1 MPH on sinker topping out at 97.5. Threw mostly sinkers an changeups getting a 50% WHIFF rate on his changeup.

Logan Gillaspie (RHP)
2/26 - Struck out one in a perfect inning of work pitching in the 3rd inning. Averaged 96.7 MPH, maxing out at 97.5 on his fastball about 1.5 MPH faster than last year.
3/1 - Allowed a hit and a walk, but struck out 2 and di not allow a run in 1 IP.
3/4 - Tossed a scoreless 9th.

Darwinzon Hernandez (LHP) (NRI)
2/27 -  Did not make a good first impression allowing four ER on two hits while walking three before getting taken out on pitch count after retiring only one batter. Will leave for the WBC and pitch for his country Venezuela. 
3/3 - Strick out one in a scoreless 8th.

Eduard Bazardo (RHP)
2/25 - Tossed a hitless inning with two Ks.
2/28 - Allowed a run on a home run in one IP.
3/3 - Struck out two in a scoreless 1 IP.
3/6 - Allowed a hit in a scoreless 9th. (2.25)
3/10 - Struck out the side, but allowed two ER n 2 hits and a HBP. (5.40)

Reed Garrett (RHP)
2/26 -  Allowed three earned runs on two home runs and a walk, pitching in the 5th inning. Threw mostly fastballs (95.5 MPH) and cutters (89.3 MPH).
3/5 - Struck out two in a hitless IP.
3/8 - Allowed a run on two hits and a walk in 1 IP. (9.00)

Wandisson Charles (RHP)
2/25 -  Allowed two runs in two walks and a home run. Did strike out two.
2/28 -  Allowed two ERs on three hits and two walks while getting just two outs. (21.60 ERA)
3/10 - Not surprisingly, he was very bad allowing 4 ER on 4 walks and 4 hits in just 1.2 IP over 2 games. Throws hard but is the definition of a thrower and still remains a very strange spring training invite. (21.60)

Ofreidy Gómez (RHP)
2/25 - Struck out two, walking in one in one scoreless inning.
3/3 - Pitched the 9th, tossing a scoreless frame.
3/10 - Allowed 2 ER in 2.1 IP over 3 games this spring. (7.71)

Morgan McSweeney (RHP)
2/25 - Tossed a perfect 9th with two Ks.
2/28 - Allowed two hits but no runs in one inning of work. 
3/10 - Overall did not allow a run in 2.1 IP over 3 IP, with two Ks. (0.00)
 
Kade Strowd (RHP)
2/26 - Allowed a run after walking four and striking out two before being relieved with the bases loaded in the 9th. Averaged 96.3 MPH on his fastball, topping out at 97.3 MPH.
3/10 - Pretty awful first impression saw him walk 7 in two appearances while only getting two outs, both Ks. (27.00) 

Cole Uvila (RHP)
2/25- Walked three and allowed a run in 1 inning of work.
3/1 - Allowed a BB in one scoreless frame.
3/10 - Overall allowed a run in two innigs of work, but walked four and struck out one. (4.50)

Kyle Dowdy (RHP)
2/26 - Allowed a run on two walks and a hit while striking out one in 1 IP (6th). Threw 28 pitches using a fastball (94.9), slider (84.5) and cutter (89.4).
3/1 - Allowed a home run and walk in 1 IP. 
3/14 - Among the cuts after putting up a 10.80 ERA this spring.

3/8 - Got his second hit of the spring but still has been underwhelming. (.133/.133/.133/.266)

Bubble
Terrin Vavra
2/25 -  Went 2-for-3 with a double and home run after coming in for Frazier at 2B.
2/26 -  Went 2-for-3 with a RBI while playing 3B. Vavra has played only 1 inning at 3B in his professional career but if he can play the position effectively it will help his bid to win a utility job.
2/28 - Starting in LF going 1-for-3.
3/5 - Scratched March 4 after experiencing some discomfort in his left shoulder during pregame batting practice, woke up feeling better. The 25-year-old is resting and undergoing treatment, and he's optimistic the ailment won't be a long-term issue that affects his status for the start of the 2023 season.

"It's a little frustrating, but ultimately, I know that it's a long season," Vavra said. "If I miss March 4 or March 5, it's better than missing April, May, June, whenever. I'd rather miss the time now and get it where it needs to be so I can be good to go down the road."
3/10 - Returned to action making a start at 3B, going 1-for-2. (.538)

2/26 - Went 1-for-2 with a BB and K and RBI. Started at SS and made an error.
2/28 -  Started at 2B, went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.

2/25 - Made a nice play at shortstop and belted a rocket 400 foot RBI triple to deep center field in the fourth inning in a 1-for-3.
2/27 - Came in relief of Mateo and went 0-for-2.

3/11 - Is in concussion protocol after getting hit by a ground ball in the head during a practice.

2/28 - Went 1-for-2 and made a diving play to his left, got up and fired a strike to 1B for an outstanding 5-3 put out.

Kyle Stowers
2/26 - Went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a K starting in RF.
2/28 - Went 1-for-3 but one of his outs was a line drive to deep LF. Hit two balls on the nose.
3/4 - Went 1-for-2 with a BB. (.364)
3/6 - Smacked a left on left double in his first PA and then BB'd. Made a nice running play in LF. Looks lean and seeing the ball well. Struck out in his last AB. (.385/.962)
3/9 - Went 0-for-2 with a K in a start in LF. Has 5 BBs and 4 Ks this spring but only one extra base hit. (.294/.455/.353/.808)
3/10 - Went 1-for-3 with a 2B and RBI. (.300)

Ryan McKenna

2/25 -  Crushed a pair of solo homers in a 3-for-3 performance in his first spring training game. “He looks amazing, feels great,” manager Brandon Hyde said. “The way he’s swinging the bat so far this spring has been really fun to watch.”
2/26 - Kept his perfect spring alive going 1-for-1 after coming in for Stowers in RF.
3/1 - Went 1-for-1 in relief in RF. Batting .833 so far this spring.
3/5 - Went 1-for-1. (.636/1.818)

Robert Neustrom (NRI)
2/27 - Went 0-for-2 playing LF.
3/6 - Went 1-for-1 for his first hit of the spring. (.125/.250 OPS)

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but Elias said the other day there were "three position player spots" up for grabs. 

I take that to mean the potential Stowers and McKenna spots may also be "Bubble" in management's eyes. Since you have to assume the spots for Rutschman, McCann, Mountcastle, Frazier, Urias, Mateo, Henderson, Hays, Mullins, and Santander are NOT up for grabs.

Thanks, and you are probably right. I still think they are on the team unless they have awful springs, but with Elias, you never know. I'll move them down a level from making it for sure though.

I would think Kjerstad gets a very long look in ST this year.

He can’t make the team but he could by up by the middle of the year if he is having a big first half, so the more experience he can get now the better.

He can’t make the team but he could by up by the middle of the year if he is having a big first half, so the more experience he can get now the better.

Realistically, the fastest he’d be up is on the Gunnar track.   Gunnar played like the no. 1 prospect in baseball and that got him to the majors by the end of August.  Kjerstad is several years older, which warrants pushing him along, but at the same time, he’s got less game experience than Gunnar did entering last year.  

As to how long Kjerstad will be in camp, I’d guess about two more weeks.  Of course, if he hits two homers a game, he might stay a bit longer.

Not playing today either. I'm choosing to believe it's about these late Feb games and just keeping him fresh for all of March.

This is a great OP that, if updated all spring, will be one of the longest OPs in OH history.

I'm not sure how anal you're trying to be about updating it @Tony-OH, especially when it comes to guys with no shot, but Maverick Handley got into yesterday's game (2/26) and went 0-1 with a K.

Thanks for the update. Typically I try to get everyone in so we know they played and are healthy then just update with anything significant But I would love to get some help on this by posting in the thread like you did. Makes it easier for me to update.

Listened to the broadcast yesterday and it sounded like he blocked a lot of pitches in the dirt...  and looking at Twitter he got 6 straight sliders/cutters and foul tipped the 6th (94.5 mph) into the catcher's glove.  Handley and Rodriguez got in to today's game late and both went 1-1.  

So almost every catcher with with invite to MLB camp has exactly one hit.  (McCann's came in the 9 run inning where everyone got a hit.)
