One day I'm going to do a piece on the 1979 World Series and how Earl's very strange bullpen usage may have actually cost the Orioles that series. 

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Earl. He was my manager growing up so there's a special place in my heart for him, but yeah, his team's did come up small more than big in the playoffs and World Series upon retrospect.

It makes me laugh every time I hear it/watch it.  And that it happened, IIRC, in like, the first inning is what makes it even funnier.  And Haller gave it right back to him, the whole thing is priceless.

I'd like to read your thoughts on the '79 Series and his bullpen usage, I don't know much about it.

I’m Jim Kramer “Buy, Buy, Buy”. Thank me later. Simple math $1000 at +$400 odds= a lot of lap dances. After this Yankees sweep we can have an OH meet up at The Goddess on me. This sweep is free money

It's a good offseason project for me. I once went through each boxscore and game summary and was like, "WTF, Earl?"

If there was an Orioles Hangout in 1979, there would have been some mad as hell fans! The usage of Don Stanhouse in particular was criminal, even by 1979 standards.

Meanwhile, I’ll be exiting the stadium shortly after Keegan (those ain’t my GD runners) Akin comes in, and I’ll be hitting the Goddess then buying tickets to go see the boss. I’ll have money for the Boss tickets because I’m betting the Yankees score over 8.5 runs today. So as soon as this blowout goes final and I get paid out, I’ll be sitting front row listening to “Hungry Heart”.

The way we pitched him in the final series we had with them last year is how we always should pitch him.
