I think its TTOP moreso than pitch count these days that is basic to "going long".     Offenses hope you'll try and use Kyle Gibson or Adam Wainwright or Zach Littell a lot.

Littell was dominating, there was no indication he was in trouble the entire game.

Bullpen may be a bit gassed as they haven't had an off day since Aug 31 and have played 7 straight games decided by 3 runs or less.
