3 runs in 6 innings against the team with the 3rd worst offense in the league isn’t good for a number 5 starter let alone an ace. I know what you’re saying but that game should have been a blow out and instead he let them right back into it.

So here's my take on what went down in the 4th. After walking Devers there were two outs & runners at the corners. A direction needed to come in from the dugout for Holliday to ignore the runner at 1B and stay in position. Instead, Devers deked a stolen base attempt and Holliday broke to the bag. Wong, all the while made a perfect inside-out swing to ground a ball through the vacated right side of the IF. 

5-4 Red Sox, and Burnes is wondering where the hell Holliday was. 

Next batter first pitch three run shot by Yoshida. 8-4 Red Sox.

I'm not making excuses for Burnes on a night were he gives up 8 runs.   If hitting the ball where you wanted was so easy, players would have hit .800 against the shift.

I wish I had a count on runners that died on 3rd base this year, with less than 2 outs.  Other than this horrific bullpen , it’s been the most disappointing aspect of their game
