Wow, I had no idea how much of a discount they give us flex plan members.   I got tickets to a game in each AL series via my flex plan last week.

I got 4 seats in Section 8 -- very good seats -- for $122.73 each (+ about $20/ticket in various fees) for Game 1 of the wild card series.

I got 2nd row of the upper deck behind 1st base for a game in the ALDS for $72/each + some fees.

And I got 2nd row of the upper deck behind 3rd base for a game in the ALCS for $ 72 each + some fees.

So as much as people are complaining about the flex plan benefits being diminished, they definitely give us a pretty steep discount.

Yeah. Definitely helps this time of year.

Anyone know what time the WC games will be. Looks like last year's started at 3pm EST but we could be the late game?

Last year they had games at something like 3:00, 4:30, 7:00, and 8:00.

We probably won't know until Sunday what time our games are.

I just think we have early games written all over it. I’m sure MLB would want Mets/ Braves later on. SD later on obviously. Houston/MIL an hour behind. That said have to see.

I’m expecting BAL hosts DET and KC @ HOU. Just hope the 69 Mets or 14 Royals version of DET doesn’t show up.

Detroit has already proven they could beat the Orioles 4 of 6 meeting within the past week. The Orioles were favorites those years. Detroit has proven to be a better team since about July so it wouldn't be a surprise at all.

And we didn’t see Skubal in either series.

Great point. You are right Frobby. It wouldn't have been quite as bad if the Orioles dropped these series and they had to face Skubal both times but to be fortune enough not to get him either time and still lose 4 of 6 was even more disheartening.

    • DET was playing infield in.  I’d have to imagine the probability of successful squeeze bunt is quite low given that positioning.  I’d rather Holliday just run on contact (which he did not do for some reason).
    • It's like Cowser isn't even trying.  🤣
    • @Chelsea_Phil sometimes dreams do come true.
    • My heart is out off this team until they fire Harbaugh. This game is a perfect example of a Harbaugh team.  Orr is over his head as a D-coordinator. Monken doesn't known how to call plays to close out games or have sustained drives when he needs one.  Harbaugh was hugging guys and telling them how much he loves them and was counting his win at half time instead of keeping his game face on allowing his team to lose focus. But we've had this conversation here. We've seen these games. Harbaugh/Monken are lucky they have a QB that can do it himself sometimes because neither of them have a real clue and Orr was just promoted too early in his career.
    • It's just another John Harbaugh led team. As long as the Ravens employ him as the head coach, no lead will ever be comfortable, the Ravens will always have stupid penalties, stupid clock management, and better head coaches poached away from the team. It's good to be one of the boys of an owner who only cares about taking money baths.
    • I didn't watch a pitch Sunday after that Saturday debacle. I had a charity ride to attend anyways, but I was not wasting a Sunday on this 2024 squad.  I'll probably watch some of the Yankees game, but my heart is out of this squad. I still want them to win, but they have given me no reason since May to think this team has any special abilities.  Injuries hurt them for sure, but they just don't have that "it" factor. They have the choke factor down pat though. I can deal with a bad team. Hell, I ran this place through the darkest, leanest years.  But what I can't deal with is an anti-clutch team. This is a team that can look victory in the face and find a way to lose. This is team with no ability to finish off a comeback.  Hell, even in their walk offs it's after their relievers choked away a lead.  The lack of hitting is boring. The lack of situational hitting is boring. The strikeout/homerun all or nothing approach is boring. The fact that they no longer steal bases or put pressure on the defense unless you count Masolino getting guys thrown out by 10 feet, is boring. The fact that both of their super prospects not came up did poorly, but literally crapped the bed and hit like pitchers is boring.  The fact that both of their number one overall selections have been either bad or awful is boring.  The fact that the "TOR" they picked up this offseason took a month and half "off" is boring. The fact that the Orioles still have Jimenez and Rivera on this team is boring.  It's just a boring team.  I'm just not interested in this 2024 squad and have zero faith in them that they can do anything in the playoffs. Even against the Royals (who will run all over the Orioles if they play them) or Twins, I don't give them much of a chance.  I'll never root against an Orioles team, and I hope that some miracle happens and they suddenly become a better team. But I will continue to say that this has been one of the most frustrating Orioles Playoff teams of all time.
    • Now that Snyder has gone I can passively hope they do well. They should have kept the old name (Washington Football Team).
