Cowser BOMB in the 8th - biggest HR of the season

In the bottom of the 7th, with the yankees down 2 with runners on 2nd & 3rd, Juan Soto lined a 2 out base hit to right that should have tied the game. Instead the yankees had a ChiSox moment as their 3rd base coach held Torres who ultimately was caught in a rundown.

Even so, it’s still a one run game in yankee stadium with Judge due in the bottom of the 8th.

Up comes Cowser to lead off the 8th, 2-1 hanging slider that is absolutely destroyed 432 feet to right. Just like that the lead is 2 again and you feel like the O’s are back. Months of underperforming throw it out the window. All the injuries to the team - well we ain’t thinking about it as the ball heads to New Rochelle and Westburg, Urias and Mount are back. Talks of the O’s “strong chance” missing the playoffs and those who don’t even want them in the playoffs - as that ball was in the sky all I heard was the O’s are back baby and bring on the excitement of the playoffs.

I thought there were a lot of heroes tonight--Kremer, Akin, O'Hearn, Cowser, Santander and Urias.  Guys coming back and guys coming out of slumps.  If Cowser, O'Hearn and Adley can hit we have a pretty dangerous lineup 1-9, and our big three in the rotation looks strong.

Everyone starts next week 0-0.  Go O's!

I don’t want Adley to be disrespected, but I think he needs to be dropped down the lineup. I think he’s hurt, but regardless, results aren’t there.

I found it very telling that the players who weren't available for a couple of months...all chipped in tonight. Westy, Mounty, Kjerstad, Urias...and we got awakened bats from Cowser and O'Hearn. It's just one game but we got a win in NY on a night we clinched and we looked like we did in May. Confident, scoring runs, and pitching pretty well. Now we get Burnes, and Eflin in the next two and if we can win a couple more games we will have all the home games in the wildcard. You never know, crazier things have happened.I still think we are deeply flawed , but I like us with good starting pitching at home, and a new lineup.

Well, when you’re a starter and you’re not starting or playing in any games whatsoever yeah it’s pretty telling when your starters come back
