That's a cherry-picked stat. He batted .233 during that span and struck out in almost 38% of his at bats in the last two months. Those are not good offensive numbers. Are you trying to say that if that's how performs from here on out, you would be good with that? I thought you had higher standards. I know I do.
Hopefully someone better than Kjerstad. I have long been of the belief that we cant just Plug HK in there. Going into next season with zero starting right handed hitting OF is a mistake and will make us vulnerable against LHP, as we were down the stretch in 2023. I am hoping we explore a Santander extension to an extent, and if not, make a trade for a RH OF.
My general feeling is they didn’t do a lot beyond the homerun. It wouldnt surprise me to see them try to improve the average OBP. I have no idea what they will do in free agency. If Rubbenstein is serious about spending then we have no idea what it’s going to look like.
Well, they're not going to do both. They're not going to bring back Santander and bring in someone like Teoscar.
I'd argue they're not going to do either.
It's just interesting in my experience that people generally have much more positive feelings towards players from outside the organization than from within it, even if the outside player isn't any better, or only marginally so, than the internal option.
