    • Lack of a position is hurting Kjerstad, but I really hope he stays and McKenna goes down for Hays.
    • It’s not October yet. We’re on pace for 107 wins even with the Kimbrel blown saves. We’re only asking our SP to go 90-100 pitches so of course we’re going to be relying on our bullpen a ton. Heck, they’re covering 33% - 40% of the outs even on a “good” night for the SP. So yeah, outside of Kimbrel, they’ve been really good.
    • Because there is no obvious successor to Mountcastle from a fielding perspective.  They just want as many options as possible.  I think we all think Mayo or Kjerstad ends up at first, but maybe the Orioles have concerns about both as fielders?  Or maybe they just want a 4th OF with some additional flexibility.
    • If Irvin keeps it up, I probably push Means to the pen. He is a free agent.  Why would you cater to him vs the guys that are going to be here?
    • Exactly.  This helps the Orioles for trades.  People might look at a guy like Norby and think he is more likely for real vs if Ortiz was struggling.  They might also think Norby’s stats are depressed some because he is depressed due to his circumstances.
