Be interesting to see how fast he can progress. He'll be 24 when the season starts next year. Hope he can start in the upper levels of the system, with some taste of the MLB end of the season. Make him a good candidate to make the 2024 OD roster when he will be 25. That type of schedule will require some immediate success at each stop.
The best part of these promotions today is I feel much more confident that we won't start 2023 with guys like Gutierrez, Odor and Owings on the roster.
I feel like Dillon is the kind of guy who is going to be pitching somewhere til he's like 38. He's going to be a good, solid dependable bullpen arm for a long time. The kind of guy who plays for a lot of teams by the end of his career.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves now.....we are only a few games ahead of last years pace. Playing some decent ball, but in no way should we give up any long term assets.
Orioles are getting a lot of positive press this morning. Considering that, and our upcoming schedule of winnable games....I am definitely expecting a losing streak.
Of all possible moves I think Pierto is most logical and pressing. Either he goes straight to AAA which could be absorbed without any other significant moves, or he goes to AA, in which case a move would need to be made with Henderson most likely.
I disagree with buster based on my orange colored glasses showing me the Os can most definitely contend for the WC in 2024 with current roster and prospects.
