On the one hand I smirk at all the money they are wasting on ARod, and on the other hand I look at their record this year and the last 18 years and say, what's the difference, they spend so much that even huge mistakes don't keep them from winning.

And knowing ARod, he probably thinks he is vastly underpaid.

I love the play on words. On one hand...and no other hand. ARod only has one usable hand :)

Yep. We are always awaiting the meltdown that will never come. I'm sure they will bring up some minor leaguer and he will tear it up the remainder of the season.

This is big news. If they trade for Headley they're going to have a HUGE talent drain on their farm. They're already having pretty poor returns there this year.

They don't need to trade for Headley. Who in the AL East is a legitimate threat to catch them?

Anyway I expect ARod to be back early, like Pujols was.
