After all my complaining this year I have to say I am happy with this move. I still would have preferred that they retooled and traded their upcoming free agent players but for me the most important part of this signing is I think this legitimizes them a little by showing that they will sign free agent talent. Who know knows maybe they will resign Davis and Hardy. I think Wieters is gone but I think that is the right move.

Hope this works out but not a fan of the move. This guy eats innings but he's been very inconsistent with a lot of walks, even in his good seasons. This money could have been spent better.
