At least we don't have a sentimental attachment to Brian Roberts to keep him from breaking out this year.<iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" style="display: none;"></iframe>

Ryan Flaherty looks like he isn't a major league baseball player. He still can't hit the curve ball. It is a shame because he can play 6 positions but he isn't cutting it with the bat.

He's been this way for 3 years. Somehow he's still on a MLB team.

We're beating up Flaherty while the rest of the batting order's averages:

Markakis: 176

Lough: 143

Jones: 231

Davis: 231

Cruz: 182

Clevenger: 000

Schoop: 100

Flaherty: 000

Lombardozzi: 333

Weiters is doing well. Delmon Young is batting 167. Hardy is batting 250.

The entire club is pressing offensively. It's too early to tell...but it is incredibly frustrating. It doesn't help that Chen and Gonzo just put up back to back stinkers.

The difference is that Flaherty has been awful for 2 years with the bat and he still is looking like an idiot everytime someone throws him a breaking ball. He doesn't belong in the big leagues. I was Ryan supporter in the past and he has gotten more chances than anyone else to prove he can hit. Another problem with Ryan last year after Brian came back when he did bat he did nothing. So you can't even use him as a utility guy as he won't produce anything.

I think Ryan's master strategy is to be terrible for the first couple of weeks, to give himself a low batting average, which in turn will make pitchers take him too lightly and throw him lots of fastballs, which he can then hit for home runs.

Very sneaky, that Mr. Flaherty.

I think all the pitchers get together and decide on a two week span of time where they throw him nothing but fastballs so his numbers improve and the O's put him back on the roster next season.
