Very frustrating AB's with the bases juiced like that. Jones should have been looking for a pitch to elevate for at least a sac fly, and he swings at 3 straight in the dirt.

He's talented as all get out, but those who question his approach have more than a valid point.

His swinging at that junk scraping the plate is as predictable as the sun's rising and setting. Leaving bases loaded in two straight is the famous Orioles un-magic.

This is the exact same thing we saw over and over and over last year. They are incapable of modifying their approach and pitchers around the league increasingly know exactly how to maximize their flaws which is why we have hit so many fewer home runs.

Adam has the talent to be great, but not the plate discipline. He's trying to hit the ball 500 feet there, when 300 would do. And he's usually trying to pull outer edge pitches, instead of just hitting them where they're pitched.
