Oh come on. Yeah, maybe it's not his night and maybe he'll get shellacked. Or maybe he'll right the ship and give us some decent innings. Or maybe somewhere in between.

But do you honestly think the RIGHT MOVE is to go to the bullpen in the first inning. I'm not even sure that move would increase your chance of winning this game, which is already fairly low. But it would definitely decrease our chances of winning in the next couple days if we burn 8+ innings of bullpen today.

Maybe, but he's thrown 110-115 pretty regularly.

He threw 113 on April 6th, and 112 on May 1st (against the Pirates). His other two games of 122 and 117 were the only other two above 113. His other five starts were 105 or less.

And so far, both games following the really high pitch counts have been bad.
