He can only do so much. They need his switch hitting bat, his knowledge of the pitchers, his strong presence in the locker room. I didn't notice until tonight, but not having Matt Wieters is more of a glaring hole that I ever thought it would be.

That's really the more disturbing stat. This team has been a .500 team for almost an entire year now. I'm trying to take each game day by day and just enjoy the baseball season, but if I was asked, I don't personally think this is a playoff team though I do think they have the POTENTIAL to be playoff team if they can get some guys to actually start to perform closer to their career norms.
